As some of you may noticed, we are quite coffee addicts. We do like our coffee and we don’t mind spending our money on it – well … we do, but everyone has something, right? Quality of the coffee is very important for us, but the place itself and its atmosphere maybe even more. After spending a year and half in Brighton, we had a chance to try many of the local coffee shops and here are our favourite ones!

Brighton Coffee Shops

Pelicano

28 Sydney St.

I will start from my favourite. Oh my beloved Pelicano. It is small coffee house in North Laines with tables on the street and little back garden as well. There is nothing better than enjoying your cup of coffee and watching people on the street just passing by and doing their stuff. And their Guinness cake? Feeds 2 people and you will still have to take some of it home.

Nowhere Man

53 Upper North St.

Coffee shop and tattoo studio in the basement? Perfect combination! And you can have the best pancakes in town! We love the vibe and retro design of Nowhere Man. If you are near Churchill Square this is the perfect place to have a cup of coffee.

Marwood Bar & Coffeehouse

52 Ship St.

In Brighton it is not normal to serve alcohol in coffee shops. Usually it is strictly just coffee and some soft drinks. The only coffee shop in Brighton, where you can have a cup of coffee and later continue with a beer or something bit stronger is just Marwood Cafe.

This is not the only reason why you should go there. You have LAPTOP ROOM there where you can work and have enough space and electricity – it is also another problem in Brighton, everything is so small that you can be glad, when you can just sit by the table with your small cup of coffee. Last but not least is the interior of the design. It is a bit funky, punky, and I can promise you’re gonna love it! (especially if you are star wars fan!)

Flour Pot Bakery

40 Sydney St.

Flour Pot is a chain of coffee shops but definitely not like NERO or Costa etc. Their coffee is amazing and their interiors as well. Everyone is always smiling. Make sure you visit this place on Friday! They do DOUGHNUT-FRIDAYS and they taste amazingly! Salted caramel is our favourite one))) You can get a special card and every 10th coffee is for free! They also have tables on the street just under the tree.
