Hill with the most beautiful view

Brighton Manor Hill

We were very lucky to live just under this hill, where you can find the best view over the whole Brighton and even further. There is a path leading from our street up to the viewpoint and on the way you can come across little swing on the tree made out of an old tire.

Windmill in Rottingdean

Rottingdean Windmill

There are many ways to get there. You can read about it HERE, but we would say, that the best way is to combine it with Undercliff walk, where you start at Brighton Marina and you follow beautiful chalk cliffs all the way to Rottingdean. It is not hard and you will have the chance to see this beauty.

The Rockery

Brighton Rockery

Everytime we asked some local if they could tell us about some hidden gem of Brighton, they mentioned Rockery garden. After visiting it we could see why. It is a little terrace park with small ponds, stone steps and bridges, that are enhanced by many trees. And even though it is well known, don’t be afraid that you will be surrounded by many people there. Because of its location far away from city center, there are just few or even nobody most of the time.

Preston Park

Brighton Preston Park

Right across the Rockery Garden, there is a large park called Preston Park. Don’t stick on the main road and try to explore it more. There are wonderful places hidden all over it waiting to be admired.

Cementery on Lewes Road

Brighton Cementery

Sounds a bit morbid? Maybe for someone, but there is no calmer place than this one. Huge old trees, that in Autumn shine with all sorce of colours.
